Hello,
i am a newbie and would like to play divx-files on my ipaq 3870.

i have a lot of divx-movies around. can i play them with a free divx-player on my ppc!?

do i have to convert the divx-files first?

i heard about a new version from digisoftdirect.com. has anyone tried this out?

thanx

Yes, you can play the divx files using . However, realize that most likely the vast majority of these files will have very high bitrates and thus will play very, very slowly on your PPC. Usually what I do is use VirtualDub to convert a video to an acceptable size (also DivX), and rotate it so that it's played as a landscape video.

If you want to learn how to convert videos, just check out this guide here:

If you don't care about ripping DVDs, just start reading on from part II.
