However start here first a streaming real video of cnet review..

I have never been a Palm fan till now

This sucker is awesome Dual SD slots with SDIO support, built in bluetooh ( game play with upto 8 players with in 30 feet).

Now Palm has a shot at knockin on the PPC door.

Ya, there are about 3 threads about it already.

Personally, the games look horrible and are way overpriced to me. The only thing about the TapWave Zodiac that impresses me is the organizer front-end.

oops my bad. Sorry did not mean to repost old news.
I just found it funny that it has taken all this time for a Palm maker to match PPC and in some cases pass them.

If you watched the video you would have seen the top mount buttons so that it has as many as a Super Nintendo game pad.

Palm should stick to creating Palms for agenda use (and stuff like that :) ).

I dont think lots of people will buy a Zodiac...
If you look at the games that are available now, the graphics just suck.
Although it has got a graphics card, the Pocket PC has got games that are way better.

Just compare these two images:

Image
Spyhunter on the Zodiac.

Image
Racing Days on the Pocket PC. (game is over 1 year old!)

I think that the 2nd one (Pocket PC) is way better then the Zodiac, even for a old game like racing days.

The only thing that i like about the Zodiac is the multiplayer option :), but the Pocket PC has that too. (i wish there were more multiplayer games on the PPC though)

HEY! That's my car in the Racing Days screenshot!!!

Hehe, but yeah, the only thing the Zodiac has over that Racing Days screenshot is gourad shading and some texture filters/anti-aliasing. The cars are half the polies as the Racing Days cars, the only nice thing is the 340x480 resolution. But in 6 months every PocketPC will have 640x480 resolution (finally a true VGA resolution on a PDA) atleast as long as the rumors are true (which they usually are, but I'm not going to hold my breath).

And Racing Days is more like over 2 years old. I remember playing it on my E-125, which I got rid of two summers ago.

640x480 Res.?

I sure hope that the screen will stay like this!
I don't want to walk arround with a 12inch screen in my pocket :P

About the gourad shading and the texture filters; I don't mind if i play a game (that is better looking) without those 2 things :).

It's called pixel density. The screens will still be 3.5 to 4 inches like now, just more pixels in the same area. And I'm sure you can change the font size for your old fogey eyes.

Nah, the screens will still be around 3.5-4in. Which is a good thing in this case. You won't be able to count pixels like I can now.
