Seeing my game (Space Treker) mentioned above and also the mention of the PPC Elite I though I should contribute.
Space Treker is undergoing a total re-write from PocketC to C++ & is about 80% done. The new version uses PocketGL & PocketFrog.

Re: the question, "is the economy dynamic" can I ask what do you mean by dynamic? Currently in each new game you get a new galaxy with new planetary systems where planets have specific technology & industry types affecting their trade goods and there are also bases where ships are equipped & repaired and uninhabited planets to mine. The PPC version of Elite exists in a fully finished form but one of the authors (David Braben) won't allow the other to release it which is very sad as it looks great. Elite is the mother of all space trading games and an example to all game developers.
PS: Are there 2 versions out there?

Who ported the Elite on PPC? Looks great.
