2x256 or 1x512?

2x256 or 1x512?

Postby Guest » Nov 17, 2003 @ 10:17pm

hi,

in some days ill buy my first pda (asus a620bt). im new to the pda world, so please help me out:
i want to buy 512mb cf memory total. which is better? 2x256mb or 1x512? 512 is more parctical but i think it needs more power. is the difference in this aspect significant? if its only a few percents, it does not matter, but if the bigger cf takes much more, it does (this model does not offer removable batteries as an option).

sorry about asking this fast, but time is short, and id need a reassuring answer swiftly.

many thanks,

galocza

Get 512mb, there's no power difference, and swapping is annoying.
holy internets batman.

I'd say go for the cheapest brand name, personally. But many other people have had problems that I've never encountered with that philosophy, so I may have an unslanted view.

Kingston is faster than Sandisk, for example, and Kingston has a lifetime warranty.

Ummm... James... my friend in seventh grade brought home some Health homework with a guy called "Our Friend At The End" that looks almost identical to your avatar....

Back on topic, Viking memory cards have been very reliable for me.
