London, UK, October 3 2003 - SiSoftware announces support for PDA1 and Smart Phone1 devices in its newly released award winning PC benchmarking suite, Sandra 2004. Taking advantage of the power and ease of use of the Windows PC enables the easy, quick and complete analysis and benchmarking of PDA and Smart Phone devices. This functionality is available for both 32-bit x86 and 64-bit (IA64 and AMD642) Windows systems which allows easy comparison of 32-bit and 64-bit processors and devices running Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003, Windows CE/.Net or Windows Mobile.
All benchmarks have been ported and are available3 on both PDA1 and Smart Phone1 devices. Taking advantage of common source code architecture, true comparisons are possible not only between different devices but even between PDA / Smart Phone devices and PCs! All the results can be saved onto the common internal database or onto the server-based Data Repository4 for comparison and auditing.
Not only can the CPU and memory performance of your PDA, but also its multi-media capabilities, SD, Compact Flash and other storage cards and also its LAN and Internet connection, just as with a PC!

It seems that it is not available for download yet, but I think this will be an improvement over previous benchmarking systems.
