You might want to post/have this moved into the General PPC area, get more exposure and comments there.

I agree with Sponge. Don't ask developers about this, ask the game players.

Looks good Fast, but maybe you could have customizable controls to suit everyone out there. Personally, being left handed, I find it easier to hold the PPC with my right hand and use the stylus with my left.

Sponge is no mod! HE IS THE ALL POWERFUL ADMIN GOD OF PM!

I can do the customized controls...

But the question is still this:
Do I need to have all 4 possibilites of holding the PDA (regular, upsidedown, left landscape, right landscape) - Or just the two landscapes for righties and lefties?

It would simplify things to only have landscape or portrait, I suppose...

How is the tank controlled? Does up on the d-pad move it vertically up the screen, or does it make the tank move the way it's facing? Do right + left move the tank to the sides of the screen, or do they rotate it clockwise and anti-clockwise?

I'd be tempted to include another method for controlling the tank + turret, without needing the d-pad, but I'm not sure whether it would suit your game/engine.

I'd suggest that both the turret and the tank use the stylus. So for example, the turret shoots where the stylus is held, and the tank moves towards where the stylus is held. The tank could have a slow turning speed, so it doesn't move there immediately. the maths can be a bit unfriendly, but it's possible.

(Hope that all made sense, it can be tricky explaining in text what's in my head :) )

bump.

I'd like to hear more feedback on what people think of this type of game. Your screenshots look nice fast_rx, though I haven't figured out what the numbers at the bottom of the screen mean. Are those the weapons, with the selected one being the large box?

Sounds like pretty awesome framerates too... What device was getting 43fps?
