Everyone,

I just want to let you know that ASUS' Bluetooth GPS kit has arrived.....

For $225 you get the Asus Bluetooth GPS, and a Car Holder for the PDA

This is a great kit....... I didn't put it on the site yet because I wanted to give you guys a crack at them first......

Asus said that they also have the same kit bundled with Pharaos' software *(which is awesome.. I can atest to that and so can Matt Keys)

With the software it would be another $100.... but I didn't order any with software, because the Pharaos software can be picked up on Pharaos site for $90...... plus I know many people have their own or would like to get something else.

Email me for details.

tomtom's stinks..... yes, it has 3d maps, but pharaos' is quicker and more accurate in my opinion..

Specs are on our site.

Also,

There is some big news...... This unit comes with converter plugs for all over the world, as well as data cables to use to connect to a notebook for GPS purposes or to update the ROM on the GPS itself... very very cool.

Hey Justin, any idea how long the mouse version would last just powered by the PocketPC? I thought it might be cool to take it on a plane but every airline has banned bluetooth (most will allow a GPS though).

Would it be on the order of 30 minutes, or less?

I think they would be about even. Because in one case the ppc is powering the serial mouse, and in the other, you're using bluetooth which is more taxing, but the unit powers itself.
