Pocket PC Tip - Running Slow? This may help.

Hey guys,

I got my a620 and I LOVE IT!!

Anyways, I was playing around with it, and switching between Morphgear and PocketSNES BE, PocketNester, and some other programs. When I reopened Morphgear, the SNES Console was playing like it did on my 3955. I was thinking...NO!!!!!!!! Dun-Dun-Dun.

Anyways, I realized that I had been exiting the programs using the (X) in the top right corner. This, however does not stop running the program as it does in a desktop windows environment. I found that, first, I had to go to Settings-->System-->Memory-->Running Programs-->Stop (any programs that shouldn't be running), and then I had to properly exit the program by going to File-->Exit to keep them from continuing to run and using up memory.

I hope this hasn't been posted before, or I'd feel just dumb. Anyways, hopefully this will help someone!

Hi Joe, glad you like your A620.

Your observation is pretty noobish. And I would be surprised if it news to anyone. That's OK, we were all noobs at one point.

The PocketPC since its inception hasn't had a decent built-in task switcher/closer. Thankfully there's plenty of freeware/comercial apps that can "fix" the close behavior and even let you switch between applications easily.

Get this, NOW:
