If you have the money, get CF. I was using a Microdrive, and it sucked the life out of the battery of my iPAQ h2215 in about 2 hours while playing music through Windows Media with the screen off. I then dropped it, causing it to run twice as loudly and fail to recognize about 75% of the time I put it in a device. CF is much more durable. Microdrives are cheap storage, but you won't be using it for very long with the shortened battery life, and the Microdrive won't last as long as a CF card.
