Every Pocket PC ever made has the Pocket Office suite (Pocket Word, Excel, email, schedule, tasks, contacts).

The real question in choosing a device is how much do you want to spend. Regardless I recommend you go with integrated WiFi. Although you can use an SDIO / CF card to add WiFi on later, the range and power consumption won't be nearly as good. I just got an a716, and the WiFi range is every bit as good as the integrated wireless in my notebook (which is very good), both of which is at least double the range of my Linksys WiFi CF card. Plus my CF (andSD) slots are free for memory cards, GPS, etc.

a716 looks awesome
I tried to find it ebay, not yet available. Must be too new.
Ideally I don't want to spend more then $300-400 on a pda (i'm in canada)
But I don't know if that is realistic or not.
What other options do I have?

It only just started shipping a few weeks ago, so it is very new. It sells for , but that is the price of having integrated WiFi and Bluetooth, plus dual expansion slots. It is also in the top few fastest PPCs performance-wise.

I doubt you could find a PDA with integrated wireless for $300-400 CD. You could for $300-400 USD.

the a716 is a pretty powerful package for the price. The only downside is that it's too big, and some people have odd battery problems.

Anything that has wi-fi is expansive. So that is why i got hp h1945. I am actually typing this thru wired connection and it's pretty cool. hp h1945 is fast enough for most everything and it's build-in bluetooth so you access to internet while your computer is on with bluetooth adapter. BTW, you could buy wi-fi sd card for internet access but the wifi card is pretty expansive [around $100]. Plus it's extremely tiny compare to asus pda and cheaper. So make sure to put hp h1945 on your list.

For your situation, I would recommend the Toshiba e805. It has a VGA screen (twice resolution of others, good for reading text) and built-in WiFi (802.11b). For games, get an Asus. If you wait a while you could get the Asus A730 (everything you could ever want short of a cell phone in a PDA: Wifi, Bluetooth, SDIO, CFII, VGA, uber-fast).

New battery technology is coming. Combustile (I don't know the real word) batterie. 40 hours they said, for a laptop :D .
So just wait and be patient.
