HPCDoom with stumblesound

Hi all,

Does anyone still play hpcdoom on their jornada 680 or 720?

ive installed gamefreak's latest vesion on both devices but the sound keeps interupting, for the rest they run okay

Is it only me who has this or im i complaining about simething normal? Its written that its tested succesfully on a J680 and J720

The sound issue is down to a lower framerate and the mixing buffer length.

Larger mixing buffers means it will be more tolerant of low framrates but the sound will be perceptibly laggy.

Shorter mixing buffers will mean less lag but will begin to stutter at really low framrates.

Best bet is to run at the lower screen size to improve the frame rate, this will improve sound quality if you need to.
