Is it possible to upgrade your operating system from WindowsCE 2.11 to 3.0?? I have a Casio E-105 and it seems like a lot of the good software won't run on it. Thanks for any help!<br><br>

You'll have to send it to casio.<br>You'll have to pay err 200 (?) $ for the upgrade, but you will get a brend new PocketPC (E-115)<br>Good Luck!

Actually, you can't get it from Casio. The upgrade period has been over for months.<br><br>There are however some rplacement FlashROM chips, sometimes found on eBAY. I will warn you though -- using the chip voids the waranty and Casio will no longer service the device. On top of that you usually have to install them manually, though some places only offer to upgrade the unit when you send it to them. This is the one (and only one) area where the PalmOS beats Windows CE hands down.

I upgraded my iPaq's ROM for free by simply downloading and running a program. Does Palm offer something simpler / cheaper / better than that?<br><br>Dan East

yep, when its time to upgrade your palm. THey just take your credit cards and takee you Palm. Then they max out the cards and smash your palm with a sledgehammer. Then they return them all, after they cut up your credit cards, in a brown paper bag.

Chuck, if it's one thing I've learned from message boards, it's that the person with the most posts has the most to talk about but the least to say.<br><br>Da, yes, the Palms are upgradable throught flashing the ROM with software. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I'm fairly sure the upgrades are free.
