My advice is: Don't. Send the transaction through PayPal, because then it's PayPal's money and they will want to protect themselves.

I don't think PayPal has anything to do with it, they are simply the person who electronically hands it over from one party to another.

Rather than me getting up, going to my bank, or Western Union to wire money to a friends bank account, I can do it through PayPal.

If my friend stiffs me and doesn't pay me back, I can't blame Western Union, nor can you PayPal.

What you want is an escrow service. For a fee they'll recieve both parties' sides of the transaction, inspect them to make sure everythingis in order, and then send them on their way if everything's fine. I have no idea where to find out which escrows are respectable and which ones are unscrupulus. I guess the best bet is to search through some eBay auctions and see what companies people use.Last modification: SonicSilicon - 06/06/01 at 19:43:17

I agree with Moose, don't. If this guy is too cool to accept personal checks and doesnt hav e the patience to wait for one to clear, and only wants a money order, it sounds like he will screw you over... or he has no idea what is going on.

Why dont you tell him to send the CF card first to see if he really has it, and that you'll send the money order once you receive the CF card?

-Chuck

You should of checked out Pricewatch.com a couple of days ago. Newegg.com was selling theres for like $74 or less. Don't remember, but that was like the lowest I've ever seen. And it was a Mr.Flash, Which I had bought about a week ago for like $82. It isn't too bad at all, haven't encounter any problems with it.

well that'd be great, but. it was $74, Plus 11 dollars shipping.

And i also got a cf reader bundled with it for 95. and he's paying for shipping. Don't worry i check pricewatch all the time just for kicks.
