Quick Survey

Would you be less inclined to purchase a commercial Pocket PC program if there were a delay (say 12 hours at most) between the time that you paid online, and when the software (reg key code, etc) were made available to you?<br>Thanks...<br><br>Dan East

it would be no different than mail order if i had to wait a while (12 hours is considerably less than 1-2 days anyway), so i'm not bothered.

Personally, I hate waiting, my idea of the internet is "here and now".<br><br>I've had to wait a day on other reg keys from Kagi, so if I *had* to wait in order to get whatever it is you're selling, then so be it.<br>

Well, it wouldn't be that hard to make a script to make the reg key for you.

Would I be less inclined? No, but then again I'm not an impulse buyer.<br><br>As long as there was a demo of some sort. I don't buy software without testing it first.

If there were a demo so I knew what I wanted, I wouldn't be less inclined. But I would prolly end up adding that to my wishlist of suggestions to the developers...to speed up the registration process.<br><br><br>

I never buy PPC software, because the games are so small, it's not like Quake III or Mechwarrior 4, and anything like that, they're GameBoy games, and I don't think any are worth any price. Except PQ of course... ;-)

i think some ppc games are even better than most desktop games because they cut out all the crap and get down to the gameplay. or something like that...

The best PPC games are emulated ones.<br><br>At least thus far...<br><br>Back on topic.<br><br>Dan, are you considering going the KAGI route?<br><br>

I might do it, but I don't like it.  I don't understand the reason for it.  It's like going to the supermarket and handing the cashier $5 then coming back later to pick up my six-pack of beer.<br><br>If that's how it is for a product that I feel I must have, then I'd probably HAVE to deal with it, wouldn't I?  <br><br>I can't see how on Earth you think it's going to make your customers happy that they have to go through this though.  If you're selling a product, shouldn't customer satisfaction be one of your primary goals?<br><br>

However seeing as i work at a bank i would be in agreement with a delay. JUst because you deposited $100 dollars doesn't mean it will go through and be there for you to use. The person might have insufficint funds at the time. IT must be proofed and so on until available. It acts as a way to keep your bussiness from getting ripped of just like you wouldn't cash a check without first seeing if they have the money to cash it.

Bu then again credit is differnt you get a response direct form the credit card company leaving it up to them to collect the money from thr person along with interest.
