Does anybody want to shoot ActiveSync?

Does anybody want to shoot ActiveSync?

Postby Luciano U. Werner » Aug 21, 2001 @ 10:11pm

At first I thought it was only with me, but then I read about some other people having the same problem . Do you guys ever have to reboot after ONE ActiveSync session because you just can't do it again? If I take my iPAQ out of the cradle after a AS session and put it back on, I recieve the message "Connecting..." and then, nothing. I tried turning it off before removing but when I replace the iPAQ, the same msg and zilt. Does anyone have an idea? I hate to reboot and just have the urge to shoot ActiveSync between the tighs and the abdomen when this happens.
BTW, I've read that this happens to Casio too.

I usually remove the connection at the USB plug. This will often reset it when it gets plugged back in. I haven't used the cradle in a couple months though, so I can't remember the exact sequence I would go through.

I have the same problem.

One of my buddies formatted his hard drive, severed the USB cable, and ran over his iPAQ with his car - he says the AS problem was solved after that.

I'm gonna try it; I'll let you know how it works for me.

Mine is a 3670 with ROM 1.77. Randall, you simply disconect and reconect the USB plug on the PC? With the iPAQ on or off the cradle? Sometimes I'm on the hurry and it's a REAL pain to reboot the bastard. Damn MS.

Diego, I went there and the only thing they say is that "Active Sync 3.5 is better then 3.1" (duh). Do you have this problem?
I went to Brightland and there's some Casio owners complaining too.
