Ipaq 3760 vs ipaq 3850/3870 Dust? Display?

Besides the obvious difference in having a SD slot, I never really was clear as to whether the 3760 has a different display than the 3850, or if the dust problem has been fixed..   <br><br>I don't have any use for an SD slot, and the integrated bluetooth is 150$ extra (from the 3760).  Is there that much of a difference ?  <br><br>On most resellers pages the 3760 is listed as maybe 20$ more than the 3670, and I'm itching to get my hands on something

Strike that ... does anyone know where is the best place in the US to get an E-200 ?  I have been finally deciding that "Maybe Compaq isn't the only way to go ... "  :)   The E-200 looks awesome.   I just have to check  out a few more things, but it looks like the one to get.

It's the same hardware, with the same display (3700 and 3800). The big differnce between the 3670 and the 3760 is the SD slot and PPC2002. The dust problem seems to be a thing of the past on the iPAQs, since even the new 3670 don't have that problem anymore. The new Jornada 560 seems to have catched that bug, though.

the 3760 appears to have 4,096 color display and no SD slot while the 3800 series has 65,536 colors and an SD slot/bluetooth on the 3870.

although, .... MS (pocketpc.com) says that the 3760 has and SD slot (Compaq says nothing of the sort) .. hmm mmmmm

I thought it had, but since I was mistaken about the screen, I'm not sure anymore.

Nope, a 3760 is just a 3670 with a 32MB ROM and a different OS. That's about the only difference.

Shoot, no SD slot? So why buy the 3760 instead of the 3670?

I guess just to get all the apps in ROM, the spellchecker, and the filestore.
