I couldn't believe it, but I bought two ipaq 3135's for a total of 310.00 including s/h at gpscomputersvcs.com!  Don't flame me, butI almost bought a V-tech Helio because I couldn't afford a 399-499 pocket PC. Now my wife and I have nice, (monochrome but I don't mind so much) FAST fully capable (except for the 16MB of RAM) Pocket PCs!!<br><br>I will let you kow how the deal turns out.

What is the bes deal anyone has seen yet, or is currently running?  (Read - what is the best deal anyone has seen on a COLOR PPC?) <br><br>I know parenthesis are overused, as well as hyphens - I just like them both.

In addition to the great deal above, I see compaq is still offering a 50.00 mail in rebate for the 3135 ipaq, and a free upgrade to PocketPC 2002 if you purchase it from between Sept. 6 and November 30, 2001.  Just thoought I'd add this little bit of joy.

Yes, I think the mail-in rebate lasts until December 31st. Now you just have to find somewhere not sold out of mono ipaqs...

I posted this message right after I ordered my PPC's and I am STILL waiting to receive them from GPS Computer services.  I checked them out on the bbb.org and they have over 100 complaints regarding goods received w/in a promised time frame.  <br><br>  They do reply to emails, but the first thing they siad was "It will ship within 5 - 15 business days" I was like "Argh. Ok. Ship em!" Then, I waited and called customer service and found out "Oh the 3150's are back ordered and won't ship till the 22'nd (October)"  I ordered them on the 22'nd (September!)!!!  Anyways... I emailed sales@gpscomputers.com and told them I wanted them NOW, but they replied "We are in the process of moving and all orders have been delayed until Nov 1 - 5th."  I am seriously thinking of doing a chargeback on my Visa - is it worth the hassle of waiting another week ?  Should I just pull the carpet out or bite it and wait a few more ?

Hmmm...I bought a Psion Revo for £150 and a 2nd hand Jornada 680 for £80. (yes £80!)<br>My little-used J545, was quite expensive £300.

UPDATE!<br>After sending an email to the VP of GPS, the president emailed me back and offered to upgrade my order to 2 3670s from the 3150s I had ordered - what do you think ?  I guess it's a no brainer.  Is there any reason I should not go for it ?  He stated that they would ship this Fri. 11/02.
