Monochrome ipaqs, have a fucked up directional pad, no color, and I think are a heck of alot more than 200 bucks.

Maybe th be has those crappy jimmy games but not quake. Also theres is more to a ppc than just games, and i read the os is hard to use and very limited. Althought i didnt know the screen was 32k, thats pretty cool.

The BE-300 is only good for the "uninitiated". It's too limited.
For us tech geeks even a 3100 iPAQ is better.

"uninitiated" "crappy jimmy games", Robert, I would like to see you even make a tetris clone, let alone a "crappy" Jimmysoft game! And Luciano, what the hell do you know about being a "techgeek,". Do you guys think you are some kind of pro's when it comes to PPC's? The Pocket Manager kicks royal arse for 2 hundred bucks. So go yank off, you wannabes. Grrrrrrrrrrr...... ):(

Maybe i have not written a tetris clone or a crappy jimmy game, but i do program and even for my ppc when i bored. Also it doesnt matter if i can do it, i dont need to know how to do it to know its level of crappieness. First off there all clones of games with pretty gay game play(except doom). Second there one good game doom wont even load user made levels. As for the question of do i think i am a pro the answer is no i dont. But i have read pocketnows review and know that most people will not like it. Why would they with its os and its lack of support for software? WHY?! If you want cheap get an ipaq for 149 dollars or a Jornada 52x series. Hell i would recommend an m505 over them at least they have software support. But if you want a ppc just buy a damn ppc that cost 600 bucks or its not even worth it.

This little $200 Bugger is not a poor toy... in fact it could be far superior to the mono Ipaq... The OS is completely replaceable and changable, I am currently finding a way to get a fully functioning CE running on it. Casio purposfully stunted the OS to make sure this wouldn't compete with the $500 E-125. This thing has a 166 mhz mips proccessor and a good looking 32k color screen. Only thing it lacks is someone with enough gonads to do something with it. People for $200 anyone could get this and mess with it. Yes its for the 'unintiated', at first. This will prove to be a far superior product in the long run... And I will have a pocket quake for it soon.
Vecanis, that is exactly what I was thinking. But the only thing is, to get a PocketPC WinCE 3.0 OS for MIPS, you would have to find someone with an E-125. Then you would have to find someway to copy the OS from the Rom. Maybe you or someone could write a program that could do it. And then to get it to us who do not have a E-125, well lets just say 3 letters, F, T, P.

If you do make a port of Quake for the BE-300, it would be greatly appreciated
