I believe that will be used on PPC devices, as the new phrase is a Smartphone 2002 for the phone devices. This OS will be used in conjunction with PPC that have wireless built in, like the Jornada 928.

It's "Stinger" as Paul said. I want that Sendo phone, or the TI one.. They look really spiffy.

So you have to buy a whole new device? Bullshit!

well you do at this point in time. who knows someone might get smart, release a sled/expansion pack to allow whatever protocol this thing uses and then you could do a ROM flash to upgrade to PPC2kPE. I doubt that will happen tho. This entire industry is based around maximizing profits and selling a new device rather than expanding the capabilities of old ones is always guaranteed the higher revenue.

Well, if you really wanted to use your PPC as a fone, there are still a few options: Compaq's comm sleeve for Ipaqs, or several PCMCIA cardphones. Yeh, i know they're not CF cards, but it's better than buying a new device!
