I found this article very interesting, it was designed to aid Digital Camera buyers in which memory will give them the most bang for their buck, but it is also quite useful in the PocketPC arena. They compare 20 different brands of Compact Flash cards in their writing/reading speeds. I was surprised at the low performance of Sandisk, which is a big name in the flash market. A good read if you are looking to drop some money on extra storage.

Playing back a movie wouldn't hit anywhere near the max speed of any of those cards. The card's speed would be important in file transfers, and this may be limited by the PPC itself(who here has gotten anywhere near a meg a second from the pc to ppc?).

I actually found this site when deciding which CF card to buy. It was an interesting read but I eventually decided on getting another sandisk, as I read that viking cards(and probably any other highspeed cards) may cause crackling with audio playback(strange, but possible) Sandisk also seemed to have the lowest power draw(I couldn't find the actual power draw for the viking), and I've never heard about or had a problem with sandisk cards.

Yeah, that's an interesting review.

http://www.dpreview.com is a cool site, especially if you are looking at buying a digital camera.
Their reviews are very in-depth.
