Ive been trying to upload a movie onto my PPC but the most I can fit on is 1 hour because I have a 128 mb CF card. Anything below the resolution I have is very hard to see (240 x 112) Anyway I could actually fit a full length movie on my PPC? I have a Jornada 525 so I have to use Pocket TV. Can anyone fit 2 hours of DIVX on their PPC?

yeh i get full movies down to about 110 megs on divx with 120kps, about 10 fps, and low qual sound. i suggest you get a real ppc and stop pissing around with that small pebble in your pocket.

The resolution of the movie doesn't have as much of an impact as you might thing. It's the bitrate of the video (and audio!) that makes the difference. I'd suggest a bitrate of less than 150kbps with an audio bitrate of less than 64kbps. I have plenty of full length movies encoded with similar settings, and full 320x240, that could easily fit in the required space.

MPG will be larger than DivX. DivX files you can lower the bitrate even more but get the same quality as MPEG encodings. Try 240x160 DivX with a 100kbps and 48kbps MP3 mono audio at 11khz
