I am known as a lover of the BE 300 and it is my pleasure to keep you informed about developments. This has been my joy in life to POKE the PPC users who said " The BE300 is not worth the price you paid" , "It's a week PDA" and so on and so on.

Well along the road we captured games, apps, skins, dress up's, PPC look and feel.

So it is with great excitment I bring news of a melding of the 2 best things ever run on the BE300. KC Menu2 and Epod ( MX and XP ).

Now before I go further I will have to state for the record I am a PPC user as well as I own and operate a Casio E-125 ( PPC 2000 ) , and I am amaized at what this powerful little baby does.

That said My BE300 is always blowing the doors off the E125......and now most Strong Arm units as well. This little 166mgz chip is a wonder horse.

So don't believe me???? Asking what am I going on about???????

PPC2002 has Flash Animated Today screen. It was amaizing when it hit the market!

Yes it has advanced a little and the animations are getting there.

We have a flash player, but our animated screen does not use it.

So why am I saying the BE300 is better now????

Tues: In 3 min's Load Windows CE style GUI

Wed:
Run KCmenu cause I want to look like any O/S imaginable.

Thursday: Load Linux to my BE300 and stay like hat till Monday again.

What is that device you are showing in the pic above? It sure doesn't look like a BE-300 to me...

Since you also have an E-125, what are the chances of doing anything like this for that device? I would love to have the fish tank for my Today screen. I don't know if it is possible, but it would sure be nice...

Ok the pic above is a BE300 with outer case taken off. The Linux team are indeed BRAVE souls!!!!!! But you have to crack the case to see what's inside to find out what drivers and sys files will be needed.

Now the animated screens may not work on the E1xx series and EM500's as the maker ( greg ) built KCMenu for the BE300 due to the Casio Retard GUI.

I am sure Greg could be talked into porting it ( tho it should work)to the other mips Family. It sells on handigo sote for $5

However just a few short months ago we did not have Windows Media Player, Now we have 2 versions
1.1 and 7.1

...and yet ALL those programs you mentioned are already available for Pocket PCs, and have been for a LONG time.

Yes but that's just it....as handicapped as we were by Casio. This all comes from the users. Casio blows.

The BE300 is fast gaining on the PPC in terms of what it can do.

Now the PPC users still have not answered my question........always happens when I ask it......move to another subject.

Can an IPAQ or Audiovox or NEC Mobile PRO or any Strong Arm for that matter, Change so drasticly like the BE300???????? Can you run PPC UI today, KC Menu tomorow, Linux the next.........

Granted Linux is not finished , but the goal is Linux with Qutopia shell, which should be finished soon. As Linux is now opening it's eyes and greeting the world from the BE300.

I can answer that question myself

The PPC is locked into a PPC format ONLY.
Now please do not think I am am truely saying ours is the be all and end all of PDA.
Cause hardware alone we get killed, but for sheer excitment , fun and enjoyment I would have to say for the guy who likes to tinker the BE300 is an awesome PDA
