I like the Loox with the Phone Edition upgrade. I don't know if you plan to use it as a cell phone, but it looks like its nicely integraed should you decide to go that route.
Its an X-scale device so it will have the same type of software performance problems as the other X-scale devices. It has CF and SD slots as well as integrated Bluetooth. I like all of these features so it gives you some nice options. I don't like that it doesn't have additional ROM to be used as secure storage space (like the Jornada 56X), but thats not a deal breaker to me.
The IPAQ 39XX has 48 megs of ROM, Bluetooth, SD slot, X-scale and from what I"ve read, the screen is amazing. I still don't like the idea of using sleeves so I would go for the Loox.

I thought I would share this as well - My current plan is to wait until the bugs get worked out on the X-scale devices and the ATI co-processor is properly implemented (or some other graphics chip). I don't like that the IPAQ 39XX is going for ~$750 and that doesn't include the sleeves. I don't know the price point for the Loox (~E430 - whatever that is USA $$).
Bottom line, I am waiting for the next round of X-scale devices to see if the bugs are worked out. You can get an Audiovox Maestro for under $300 and use it for the next 6-12 months. Save the difference and plan to get a new X-scale device then. Hopefully, if they optimize the OS then they will release a patch and you can get the current batch of devices cheap and gain the benefits after the patch.

I like the Acer n20. They're all comparable so it doesn't really matter.

Loox has more features, and as I went on about in another thread, the WiFi discovery app built in, etc. I'd get a Loox.

doesn't the Acer have SDIO and CFII built in? I don't know. I just like Acer because it looks nice and sounds cool.

I'm shopping for a new PPC myself. I have looked at all of the benchmarks for the different devices and I must say that Casio's E-200 is the fastest, graphic wise (Memory move, Bitblt, ect.). So that means that it will play movies and emulators with the highest frame rate. The only thing bad about it is that it has a sucky battery and it's ugly as hell.
I wouldn't screw with XScale. With PPC companies and Microsoft's history with Pocket PC hardware and software issues, I doubt anybody will do a damn about the XScale's issues. Supposedly, by next year, there is supposed to be PPCs with MIPS processors running at 500MHz and later next year, new ARM processors running at 500 to 1000MHz. I would buy a trusty 206MHz ARM PPC, right now, forget about XSmell, and wait for these babies. Allthough maybe they will be crap too.
