why two builds?
just check if mmx extension available, if so use mmx optimised function.

Asked R0B this, it would make the filesize bigger, and it's OK for PocketPC applications to have seperate builds.

Filesize really isn't an issue - having an "MMX" function and a non-MMX function isn't going to bloat anything much because you'll only need to do it in very few places (and if your functions are "big" you're getting something wrong).

Not MMX again... I remember a few years back. They said MMX would speed up 3D accelerated games. Turned out it didn't do much of anything. Guess it wouldn't hurt on a PPC. Unreal is optimized for MMX processors, score! :)

Ive bought an iPAQ 3970 with XScale. Does that particular model support MMX or did I just waste my money?
