Get the Lite-On 40x recorder, fastest burner out there, AND it's less than $100. Burns a full CD in 1:31. That 24x stuff is total BS, just look at the times, unless he means specifically CD-RW.

198MB is still pretty good for RAM, it's not that urgent to upgrade yet.

What speed is your processor?

SDRam is cheap. Id get that. I upgraded from 256 to 512, and there is a noticble speed difference in everything. No UT2k3 swaps, yay!
