I have an iPAQ H3955 and want to know how to change the startup screen? I can't STAND the dull, lifeless, boring, unimaginative splash screen when I soft-reset my system. I want to replace it with a .BMP or something, so how do I do this?

I never thought it was such a big deal, it's only a few seconds every couple of hours (if you mess with things like I do)
In any case, there's no way, it's embedded into the ROM, and if it were possible, would be too dangerous for what it's worth.

DEXplor has an advanced Icon picker. It's used in the File Association Editor and the custom Send To system. I had to bend over backwards to allow it to read icons out of protected ROM dlls and exes. The real issue is that the CE shortcut format does not allow you to specify an icon, thus DEXplor can't make use of an icon chooser in it's shortcut editor. So they must have used the lnk format as a hack, and not a true link.
Also, I couldn't find a cesys.dll, and my Games folder on my Pocket PC 2000 device is plain like the other folders.

Once again.
IT'S NOT GOING TO BE CHANGED. IT'S HIDDEN AWAY IN THE BOOTLOADER, FAR AWAY FROM HUMAN HANDS, WHERE NO NORMAL USER CAN MODIFY IT.
