Have HP Jornada 568 with 256mb Flash card. Downloaded Quake and quake II and followed the instructions. Tried to use game and get error Quake not a pocket pc program. Removed it all and went through the download and install all over again with the same results. Tried several download sites and still have the same problem. Can the program be run on this platform? What is the silly little thing that zI am over looking? Since the box is dumb the errors must be mine. :?

I think you downloaded the wrong version of the program. You need to download the version of the game for the "iPaq, @migo, PocketPC 2002." Here's a direct link:
http://quake.pocketmatrix.com/PocketQuake0062_ARM.zip

You probably downloaded the version for the HP Jornada 720. The 720 is NOT a PocketPC, it is a Handheld PC. Or you might have downloaded one of the SH3 versions, one for the older Jornada 545 or 525. That's probably why you got that error. The HP Jornada 568 uses an ARM processor, so you needed to download the 'ARM PocketPC 2002' version.

We receive so many questions like this on these forums... Matt, Dan, Chris, can you PLEASE make the PQ website easier to read and download from. The download link causes 50% of the problems that we reply to! The other 50% is that wad file in the wrong place and you just need to update the readme to make it easier to understand! Don't you think that would be easier than us answering the same questions 30 times over.
