About to be the owner of a new PPC, looking for advice/tips!

Howdy Folks,

I'm about to get a Toshiba E740 for my birthday, and was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions. I DID do a few searches through the archives, but some information does get outdated. First off a little background information. I'm disabled and have deformed hands, so a smaller/slim PPC is the way to go. Also my college supports WIFI around the campus so I wanted that built in. Add these together with the lower price and thats why I'm looking at the Toshiba over the newer IPaqs. If anyone has any advice on rather or not the Toshiba should meet me criteria that would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I'm getting a PPC for school/notes/PIM features and the like, but I'd also like to play a few games and watch videos. I've read numerous how-to's on ripping and encoding, but my question is what type of memory card is best as far as speed and power management? SD/MMC or CompactFlash? Any good brands and places to buy from?

Finally is there any must have software I should know about? Or good places to download software?

Thank you for your time and sorry about all the questions, I've visited a lot of PPC sites, but this one seems the most intelligent and like myself, wants to push their devices to its limits.

as far as compact flash and SD go, CF has larger file capacity and CF is also a lot cheaper. SD is good for putting things like bluetooth in. Generally, from what ive seen, PPCs with CF and SD cards are thicker than ones with only SD.

The e740 does a very good job playing movies because it has hardware acceleration specifically for decoding video streams. However it is the slowest performer of all Pocket PCs when it comes to most all games, because of hardware issues.
