Well, it would be an engine that used actual physics equations to manipulate objects.

It would use mass, friction, viscosity, acceleration, gravity, momentum, etc., etc.

Like I said, Email me for more information.

Just letting you know, this offer still stands. We are looking for a good programmer some extra time on their hands or looking to make a little extra cash.

This is not a salary based company

This job guarantees 20% of the total net profit provided the engine is completed by our release date. We suggest that a contract be signed, but we do not require it.

Please email me at home at Digdug0597@aol.com or General@levelbeyond.com.

OK, the job has been taken, but I have two other games being developed.

First is a turn-based RPG, which uses a Trigger based AI.

Second is a Micromanagement/Simulation game, with a random map creator and need based AI.

Email me if you want more info. General@Levelbeyond.com or Digdug0597@aol.com

More Info

I know the pseudo-job has been taken, but I'd still like more info out of curiousity. I'm working on my own Pocket PC equation-based physics engine as a hobby.

Is this physics engine supposed to be 2D or 3D? How many degrees of freedom? (E.g. can objects rotate?) Do you just want the physics, or some sort of graphics capabilities as well?

The task is actually pretty large, when you think about all the things you forgot to think about. Like floating point inaccuracies (what good is an incorrect engine?), performance tuning (what good is a slow engine?), etc.

You really need to hammer out your requirements to more than just a vision statement.

When?

Oh, and when did you want it? Maybe mine will be done first.
