DOTT-Speech don´t works

In the beginning many thanks to ARISME and all other guys who makes it possible to play these old but best Lucas-Games on our modern platforms. I´m meanwhile 40 years old and I have played them all in the past. I never sold them and now I am playing them again on my iPAQ 3870. Wonderfull!!! :-)))

Now I have downloaded the .sou->.mp3 conversion tool and copied the following files in my DOTT-directory on the iPAQ:

TENTACLE.EXE (German Version)
TENTACLE.000
TENTACLE.001
PocketSCUMM.exe
SDLAudio.dll
monster.so3

Maybe I have misunderstand something, but shouldn´t the game start with speech now instead of the bubble-text?

Where is the mistake?

You don't need the TENTACLE.EXE file, PocketSCUMM.EXE does all the work.

Try to rename the .SO3 to TENTACLE.SO3, I think this should help.

nope there isnt. Delete your .s03 file and make another and try that. Maybe something happend when you were converting it.

Mike thank you for the tip! I converted the file again and voilá: now it works!!!

I only wonder about the bubble-text which is still on the screens in addition to the speech. Is there a way to disable it?

I convert the file Monster.sou to monster.mp3

I keep seeing about so3, whats happening there!?

check your file, perhaps you don't have the full talkie version - and that's right, you should get a .so3 file
