Debugging questions

I've downloaded the Embedded Visual C++, and I've set up PocketFrog on my system, I even have a little alien walking around on the screen. However, I'm having a real difficult time debugging. Whenever I try to debug from the remote device, it takes 63 seconds to get to the first breakpoint (no matter where the breakpoint is) and 6-7 seconds in between lines
. Is there any way to make this faster?
Also, is the emulator any faster? I can't get the emulator to work with PocketFrog yet, but I would research it more if I knew it was faster.
