dont know why, but on a REAL smartphone
vkA and vkB are the softkeys, and vkC is the "*" button, on the emulator, you're right, it's 1 2 3 button.

stuff/Noty:

There is a bug in the Smartphone 2002 emulator in that it won't post any WM_KEYDOWN events if one the following keys are pressed:
Hang up, Softbutton1&2, Home, Back

Keys that work:
Dial, Up, Down, Left, Right, Action, 0-9, *, #

I'll keep the mapping to keys 1-3 in the Smartphone emulator and post this as another "known issue" in the release notes...

Would it be possible to get a copy of the old PocketMatrix build before thursday? I've got some 98 machines to test in fullscreen with the newer 2.0 code, and it'd be great to get that underway. I understand if that's a pain though :P

Thanks!
Jimbo

Johan,

I noticed that the gd200 dll (for PPC-ARM) is now 300+ kb in size. Is there any chance this could go down a little more?

Thanks,

Erick :)

brendan: Yesterday.. :) It's finished, I'm currently working on the docs.. It'll be up in a few hours...

eric: I could probably do some work on libPNG.. But it's not my top priority.. I don't think I could get below 250kb anyway (there's actually lots of code in there)...

Hi Garry,

#1
If you try the straight "Simple" demo without modifications on your device, does the text it shows match the display alignment? If it does, then the issue is not within GapiDraw (it should work!). :)

#2
On the desktop, this is as it should be. You normally always want to use the GDDISPMODE_NORMAL display mode on stationary PCs. The old concept with "landscape" modes was removed, to make GapiDraw as generic as possible.

Sorry for the previous message. After looking at it again (with a bit of sleep before hand) bug #1 doesn't exist. The rotations are correctly named.

As for bug #2, I understand the reasoning for the way its implemented now, but it still causes confusion - primarily because you need to define the display mode as normal at all times on the desktop and adjust the display sizes if you want to develop an app that works in landscape mode.

It will take some getting used to...
