tedson: It wouldn't be that hard to modify GapiDraw to use BitBlt.. It might even happen. A version GapiDraw that uses BitBlt in the final blit could be used for a number of cool things.

The reason I ask this of course is for the Pocket War screen saver.

The more desktops it will run on the better off I am.

I think I have a solution for the multi-monitor problem as well. I am now running in a border-less window that is the same size as the virtual desktop rather than running as a full screen app. I had to do some finagaling to force the gapidraw based program to be in a popup, border-less, title-less, always-on-top window. It seems like opendisplay resets some of the windows's properties, so I had to add calls after opendisplay to remove the borders and titles and force the window to always be on top.

The new screen saver looks pretty good now though. If I can remove the dependence on direct X then it will run on windows 95 and NT machines as well. It would also give me an answer for people asking for Pocket War on those machines (and surprisingly there are some.)
