Sprites and tiles in GAPIDraw

Im curious. Are sprites in GAPIDraw, just a series of same sized surfaces each with the proper animation on it attached to one structure of sorts?

Does anyone have some good SpriteEngine GAPIDraw based code they'd be willing to share?

Heck, if even someone has a good GAPIDraw based tile engine that would rock too...I dont feel like reinvinting the wheel to make my little game.

Codejoy: If you can wait 4 weeks we will have some major cool new stuff being released... Including tile engines, sprite systems and more... An no, it's not GapiDraw 1.10 ... It's something else... :wink:

Im interested, do you have any current docs or anything on said stuff? Im curious...plus id like to see how it might fit into my new game idea...
and starting to learn it wouldnt hurt. Its not GapiDRAW at all then?

Basic Tile and Sprite engines are really trivial things to code. I think its well worth figuring out how to do this on your own, there are many tutorials I have found on the subject.

I'd say look into a tutorial from gamedev.net and then if you have any more specific questions I'm sure one of us can answer. If you don't mind waiting, I'm sure Sbl's code will be a great thing to use.
