Hi, I'm looking for some people who would like to test a PocketPC game. It's a port of a webgame called BOUNCE, and I'd like to find out how it runs (or doesn't run

) on PocketPC's other than my iPAQ. Frames per second should be reported in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Please let me know if it works at all, if it's slow, or any other feedback. You can download the trial version here:
You can email me
carl@escapefactory.com or just reply to this post with feedback.
Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

Does anyone know of a free (for commercial use) sound library for PocketPC/desktopPC that supports ADPCM or mp3 encoded wav files? I'm currently using Hekkus Sound System, which I like very much, but it doesn't appear to support wav file compression (I believe).

Your right about Hekkus not supporting compression... I've asked gersen to add this and it sounds like he does have plans to add it, but it's not high on his list of priorities (hope I'm not putting words in your mouth Thomas!). I'm looking forward to that day as well. I believe he said ADPCM would be what gets implemented, whenever he gets to it.
Other than Hekkus, I'm not sure what options are available. AFAIK, all the libraries that would fit the bill charge for commercial use (maybe MikMod might not, but I don't know if it plays WAVs outside of a MOD file?)

A quick check-in from the MIPS world... I got a solid 30FPS running this, although the bubble seemed to move very slow. I can only assume they should be moving faster, but the FPS was steady throughout.

Thanks for all the feedback. If anyone's interested you're welcome to check out the web version of BOUNCE. It's up on .
I used cabwiz and ezsetup to generate the installer (BounceTrialSetup.exe). I'm quite sure it's clean. Could it be that your antivirus software was simply displaying the standard warning, that any .exe could contain a virus?
