So may we know what are we going to expect in v2.05? Besides the new licensing of course. :) Excited to try it out Johan!

Regards,

Erick :)

Hi Erick,

New for 2.05:

(1) The DLL size was decreased by almost 20% on Pocket PCs and Smartphones
(2) Significant performance improvement of Blt and AlphaBlt. They both previously created a lookup-table on each blit (I planned on adding filtering to the stretch so that's why it was there in the first place) which meant memory allocation and lots of precalculations. Both Blt and AlphaBlt should now close in on BltFast on performance...

There are some minor stuff as well (I added a ChangeFPS operation to CGapiDisplay that simply calls m_timer.starttimer)...

I have more code available but am delaying that to 2.10 since it involves some minor changes of the SDK... :)

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

As you know, GapiDraw 2.05 is compiled and ready for release.. Unfortunately the commercial license agreement is not.

I am leaving for Italy on Sunday, and the guys working on the license stuff here said they hoped to have everything done early next week. Before then I cannot upload the file to the webserver.

I'll be back again on September 16th.. If everything goes ok GapiDraw 2.05 should make it online before then sometime...

Hi there!

Any news on the new release? I'm sure a lot of people are like me and just want to get an idea on the price issue.

Thanks,

--Eric

Johan: Thanks for the quick replies. Been busy the past week too. Enjoy your trip!

Fzammetti: Actually, I know a couple of PPC games who haven't been released yet because of legal and license issues. :)
