Vector image formats

Vector image formats

Postby Structure » Nov 22, 2004 @ 7:25pm

Ive been creating some game art using a vector format because I like the style it gives and ive had experience with vector art. Obviously this would then be exported as a pixel based format for use with gapidraw,

I was then thinking wouldn’t it be nice if I could draw my graphics inside the game still in its vector format, this way it would scale well to different screen sizes / resolutions,

So I looked around the net a bit and came across this

http://www.svgopen.org/2003/papers/Usin ... le3DGames/

which made for interesting reading, They make some good points for gui graphics, but id also love to be able to zoom in and out with out loss if image quality.

any plans to do something similar for gapidraw?

Or any thoughts on how to do this? (without licensing X-Forge  )
