I have an Axim Advanced with PPC 2002. The only program I was running in the background was PPX. I am not sure if this may help, but I went back into the game, turned the music off, played two games and didn't have a hang problem.

Nevermind. Just hung again.

Can you try with this executable www.scalenesoftware.com/downloads/Conce ... osound.exe ?

Just drop it into your BETA9 installation folder (default is Program Files/Games/Concentrix).

This executable will no use the sound DLL and has no sound whatsoever. Does the program still hang with this executable?

Additionally, are you able to post high scores to www.scalenesoftware.com/scores/ ? After playing a few games, simply press "high scores" on the main screen once or twice, then press "sync".

I tried the no sound version for about five-seven minutes and played three versions with no lock ups. It looked like I was able to sync my "high scores" as low as they were. lol

Thank you for trying the nosound version, this info helps me to track down the problem.

Please let me know if you continue test the nosound version, whether you experience a hang or not. Also, how long it took before a hang (or how long you played without a hang).
