I'm beginning to wonder why I bother having my software there, I get at least 10 times more sales at Handango, and looking at my recent statement from them (which is always a week+ later than Handango) I am getting (significantly) less per sale than Handango.

But they look more like a phone bill, what is Scrubbing and why does my "Gross" not match the simple equation of number of units sold * cost of unit? (It does for a couple months, but doesn't for others.)

IMO at this point it seems easier and wiser on my part to just stop selling with PG in the hopes that those that would have bought at PG now buy at Handango. However due to the lower earnings I am getting per sale from PG I can lose at least 40% of the customers and still do better. That is if only 6 out of the 10 people that would have purchased at PG now purchase at Handango I am still better off.

I currently have links on my site and I am guessing (since it seems impossible for find any specific product at PG) that all of those sales are just linking from my webpage to begin with. This is also historically accurate since the sales were even less before I put the link up.

Anyone able to elighten me on any of this, similar problems, resolutions? I just tried to send an email to their support address asking for their billing department address or phone number. It would make sense to me in their shoes to make a contact a bit easier to find and use for developers and customers alike. But then again you have to consider they are at most #2 in this buisness, so they obviously have some problems.

Actually I am.

PocketMatrix consumes around 300 GB a month.

PocketQuake is a 9 MB download, and has been downloaded around .5 million times (that's around 4 terabytes over 2 years). Download.com is the #2 referer to download Pocket Quake, and they have prompted 125k downloads in 7 months. Tucows is #1, but they don't list the download count.

PocketQuake2 is a 38 MB download and has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times.

PocketMatrix also hosts many large movie trailers which consume a large amount of bandwidth. Last time I checked the video downloads consumed about the same bandwidth as the Pocket Quake downoads.

PocketGamer is the definitive place to find and download games. They consume a little less than PocketMatrix, but it is still very substantial.

For a dedicated server at 700 GB/month it runs $99. 1.2 TB/month is $300. Now you can't tell me that even 1% of the comission you collect could possibly go toward paying for bandwidth.
