Gee, and I was already having trouble filling the QVGA display on current Toshibas at an acceptable frame rate due to a narrow bus to display memory. Now I've got to fill 4x the number of pixels each frame? Whee!

Seriously, I'm wondering how existing 240x320 GAPI games are going to work on this thing. Either they expose a 240x320 DRAM buffer and perform a pixel doubling during the copy operation (hopefully with some sort of hardware assist), or they expose the native 480x640 frame buffer via GAPI and watch how many existing games break because they assumed 240x320, or look crufty because the game's content was authored for a smaller screen size.

Oh well, at least the platform is moving forward. That's a good thing.
