Using wireless ethernet card with eVC

My new wireless ethernet card works on my iPaq h3650 CE3 for web browsing via my PC but otherwise I can't figure out how to make it work for either regular synching or downloading/debugging with eVC.

Is there anything simple/obvious that I could be missing? I read the M$ help but it seemed to imply that you make a regular USB connection & then pop the card in & somehow the connection should continue :?:

Any help appreciated

You must have synced your device at least once with ActiveSync over USB or serial before you can use Ethernet or Wireless. It sounds like you've already done that. So click on the Start Menu, then Programs, Connections. Tap the Active Sync icon. Choose Network Connection from the top droplist, and the name of your PC in the lower droplist. Hit Connect... and you will be ActiveSynced to your PC. You can then debug, etc. Note that you have to leave that "Connection Status" dialog open to keep the connection.

I have my Socket Ethernet drivers configered to automaticall start that activesync connection whenever I insert the ethernet card. The drivers for other types of devices may not support auto-launching apps though.

Replying on the flakey USB connection it seems to be the way the device connection is setup. I have noticed that when my PC is on the web that activesync always works and the app copies over to my iPaw. I tried playing around with the settings in eVC but never managed to get it exact.

Thanks Dan for the advice. I will try again. I just upgraded to XP so I have not tried everything out yet though it seems to be miles better than Me.
