In a dramatic change of plans Sendo has dropped the Microsoft Smartphone OS & gone for Nokia's OS instead so anyone awaiting a Sendo or worse already signed up for their developer program has a problem.

See the link below for the story

ps: having played with the Smartphone emulator for a few days I think it's so unlike PocketPC that even though it has GAPI there's not much point in considering a port of anything serious. It does have some interesting features but it's really different.

I say good. SmartPhone can easily die right out of the starting gate, and MS, of course, isn't going to let this happen, and they might just give in and release source/make it more customizable.

I received a copy of the Sendo apologies letter and press release. From it, I understand that the desition to drop MS was of legal nature, and that the evaluation of Symbian started *after* the break with MS was evident.

I ordered my Z100 dev.kit 4 months ago, just to get it 3 months later. I got a phone that was so buggy noone could have done professional development on it, it has the "bogus SMS bug". OS upgrades did not work too.

Besides, they made a quite unprofessional impression in their communication, sending mails out to developers with all the other developers in CC, thus making their identities and email addresses visible to all.

I just hope i will get my money back :)
