More EasyCE issues(problems?)

I'm currently moving my OpenPTC to the PocketPC emulator and have encountered two problems so far:<br><br>Firstly EasyCE uses char* all over the place which causes problems when compiling in eVC (pocketpc uses 16 bit strings).<br><br>The initial GXOpenDisplay call fails as the hwnd parameter is set to NULL by EasyCE.  This might work on a real device but it does not in the emulator.<br><br>Has anyone actually compiled and run an EasyCE project in the emulator?  If so did you encounter the same problems?

Hi Karl!<br><br>I am running EasyCE on the emulator and I do remember the second problem at least. The GAPI emulator does not like a NULL pointer when GXOpenDisplay is called. I had to put the call to GXOpenDisplay a little bit later in the EasyCE code, where there actually is a hwnd parameter available. <br><br>The source code for the last release of my project is available at pocketclive.emuunlim.com and the copy of EasyCE that is in there can be executed on the emulator.<br><br>/Anders

A Spectrum Emulator!  Great job Anders!<br><br>I'll try your changes.  <br><br>How would you compare the speed of the emulator, on your desktop, to the IPaq?

The emulator is definitely running faster than my iPAQ (I am developing on a Toshiba Laptop 1GHz running Win2k) but I do not know how much faster. <br><br>/Anders
