i dowenloade quake2 and there is a mising file againg like in quake1 were i cold find the file
pics/colormap.pcx

That is a common error message. Use the forum's search feature to find the solution, there are several dozen threads that deal with it already, including sticky threads near the top of the forum. It means you installed the game incorrectly.
