Change weapons in Landscape?

i picked up version 51 for mips and love it. someone know how to change weapons while in landscape mode?

Try binding a key to impulse 10 (next weapon) or impulse 12 (previous weapon)<br><br>bind AUX5 "impulse 10"<br>bind AUX4 "impulse 12"<br><br>Of course you can choose any key (button) you want.

In landscape mode, you have the following hotspots:<br><br>10---14---12==<br>|---mlook---|==<br>11---15---13==<br><br>the "==" represents the taskbar.<br><br>I have mapped 10-11 as weapon changes in the ARM config file.  I had no clue impulse 12 was weapon down, so I'll remap number 11 (right now it has the same function as 10).<br><br>14 i'm not sure if I mapped or not<br>15 is Jump<br><br>12 and 13 arent mapped because ideally they should be to the absolute right in landscape mode, however aren't.  If you click in the taskbar area, it just gets messy as your start menu will pop up underneath.  This in mind, I didn't give them any functions in the cfg file.<br><br>Last modification: 999 - 03/18/01 at 15:07:46

999, are you able to get impulse 12 to work?<br><br>impulse 1-8 selects a weapon.<br>impulse 9   gives all weapons.<br>impulse 12  selects the previous weapon.<br><br>I can't get any of the above to work on MIPSPocketQuake.<br><br>Only impulse 10 appears to work.<br><br>I can't recall offhand what other impulse's there are- there must be an impulse 11, I just haven't used it.<br><br>Also, I think AUX14 is the escape key isn't it? Doh!<br><br>Nevermind, impulse 1-12 work just fine. I am just an idiot.<br><br>I was trying to use those commands in a bot deathmatch. impulse 9 is considered a "cheat" and not available in deathmatch.<br><br>For some reason the reaperbot progs.dat file disables impulse 12. Impulse 10 still works though.<br><br>Anyway, does impulse 12 work with the omnicron (sp?) bot? I've been thinking about using that bot instead.

Check your autoexec.cfg file for r_drawviewmodel.<br><br>r_drawviewmodel "0" tells the game not to show the weapon.<br><br>r_drawviewmodel "1" shows the weapon.<br><br>Each of the weapons has a different model. All models are stored in the PAK files, unless you modified the PAK and deleted them.<br><br>Last modification: randall - 03/18/01 at 19:34:09

Tapping in the taskbar area during landscape has been fixed in 0.06. Same with mlook (when you drag over to the taskbar area). It will probably be released in the next few days.<br><br>Dan East
