How to make PQ 1&2 remember the settings?still need help

Postby Kenny806 » Dec 13, 2007 @ 8:35pm

Hi, can anyone help me with this? I tried to modify the .cfg file, but it did not affect the settings at all, and when i change the settings in the game (controls, resolution etc.) they are reset to defaults when i launch the game next time. I am sure you will agree its a waste of time to change the settings every time i want to play so i hope someone will be able to help me.

Try putting your controls in an autoexec.cfg, and put that inside the id1 directory.

Quake2 uses the same format, most of the commands should be the same.

http://console.planetquake.gamespy.com/commands.html for a listing of valid console commands including the +commands. Most of these can be bound to keys.
