Laptop screen problem

I'm having a very wierd problem with my laptop screen. It is getting band, shaking through the screen. I don't know if thats really accurate way of saying it but its the best I can describe it. And it only happens with certain colors and worse depending on what color next to it. But its slowly getting worse. It dosn't happen if I hook up a monitor or TV screen as the display, only on the LCD. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong or what I could do? I really really dont want to send it in for repair cause its my only computer and I cant live without internet.

It won't be an easy fix, I'll tell you that. Probably the LCDisplay Converter, those things go bad often and it wouldn't affect exterior display devices.

Well I'm really glad I bought the extended warrenty, because the normal one didn't cover anything related to the screen but the one I bought did.

I don't understand what happened though, I used to late Friday night and it was fine. I woke up this morning and it was like this.

Your lucky you're still under warranty. Laptop LCD's are really really expensive to have repaired.

Yeah thats why I got the 2 year warrenty, just because the one that came with it didn't even cover the screen.

The worst part is going to be having no computer or internet access for at least a week while its getting fixed, I'm going to go insane.

Now I try to backup my data so I can send it in for repair and my CD burner wont work
