Spiderman Snafu

Spiderman Snafu

I just noticed that they let something slip by. Check out the scene where Peter realizes his eyesight is now perfect so he doesn't need glasses. They show him looking at himself in the mirror, and he holds his glasses up to his face and takes them away a couple times. At the very left side of the screen the mirror is beveled, and you can see part of his hand there. At the very right edge of the bevel you can just barely see two knuckles that aren't Peter's (they don't move when he moves his hands up and down). Then after the end of the shot the hand quickly moves downward while Peter's hands are motionless. It almost looks like that person is holding a stopwatch with a lanyard hanging off of it.

that whole scene is wrong isnt it? the blurring effect occurs all over the screen rather than just on the lenses apparently...

Yeah, they saved some money on that scene. It looks like that guy is holding a stopwatch, so he probably was counting the scene out loud so Tobey and the cameraman would be synchronized. They should have just let Tobey do his thing, and then later taken the scene out of focus digitally. Then they could have blurred specific regions instead of the whole frame. But that would have cost a lot more money. And my 9th grade English teacher said to never start a sentence with But or And.

Ya, the special effects werent' that great. Spiderman looks like a rag doll whenever he's swinging around, very unlifelike. And the first scene with the green goblin at the block party when he jumps on his glider, he's horribly out of proportion and it looks like he's just a transparent frame they've placed infront of the people screaming and running.
