Fast enough will be instant, until then, anything that shaves off seconds of minutes is worth it, provided the price. Especially with upwards of 20GB, and even higher in the future.

matt, go for the 10gb ipod...wait around on , they usually have a great deal on ipods once a week. I got a 10gb fr $360 ($40 off) You dont need the 20...i dont see it possible to have that many songs...

plus you can use the ipod as a bootable drive! how cool is that! just put some firewire card drivers and a hard drive formatting utility on there incase the comp goes under. you could prolly rip the whole windows cd and stick it on there

edit: oh...you want the 5...to me it was worth the $60 for the 10 over the 5 because you get 1. thinner ipod, 2. remote, 3. case.

well you can boot off the ipod, yes. it WOULD be really cool to be able to carry around your whole computer...

i am still waiting for my card...it was shipped on the 3 of Febuary....
