Well, just bought the game after I played it on a LAN party on Friday; and let me tell you: It is one sweet game. Storyline is superb *and* original, has pretty good graphics, and the gameplay and cutscenes will blow you out of your seat. It also has an included mission editor in it that makes it easy to create a *good* mission, unlike the half-ass one bundled with Mechcommander 2. If you see it on store shelves, and haven't played it before, buy it. Only ten bucks for the two CD's for the main game, and Silent Threat, the expansion bundled with it.
The only problem I've experienced with it is that my computer locks up with the cutscenes if I dont have interlaced cutscenes checked.
Also, if you get a chance, buy FreeSpace 2. Although a sequel (Usuallly not high-rated in my book) it still has the same great storyline, gameplay, and of course, our beloved cutscenes. Check it out.
